The Royal Mint

The Canadian Mint, better known as the Royal Canadian Mint, is the Canadian crown agency responsible for the production of all coins currently in circulation in Canada. The Canadian Mint, founded in 1908, is a for profit organization and the sole shareholder is the Government of Canada.

The Royal Canadian Mint produces collector coins, coins currently in circulation and bullion coins in gold, silver, platinum and palladium. The Canadian palladium coin is the palladium maple leaf coin available on our website. Since 2005, the Canadian Mint has been producing the palladium version from onyx.
